i have the same question as well. some people in here claims to have working educated 8.1.x indeed, i am not lucky to get one.

for your information, i dont think there is any addon requires 8.1.x or later.
so, get your 8.0.28.0 from jhon snow. he offers a wide range of useful things as well. reliable is all i can say about jhon. one stop buying saves you as lot of frustrations.

 

I have got 8.1.x version but machine id locked. It works fine till now.

This is the same version from val. Its not recommendation. If you want to buy then bear the risk as well.

as there is no single addon requires 8.1, i am happy with my 8.0.28.0 at the moment
btw 8.1.3.1 just came out... I am interested if there is a GB of it....
